Hello!
I am Ioana Fărcaş, the main trainer of the finance courses in German. I have a complete academic background in the field of finance (bachelor, master and doctorate) and practical experience gained both in the private sector and in European institutions.
I have gained practical experience in:
-
banking supervision within the European Central Bank.
-
accounting for companies in the DACH area;
-
German taxation in a start-up in Germany;
My experience is also international, strengthened by research internships in Germany and teaching activities in Romania and the German academic environment (DHBW Stuttgart).
For over 5 years, I have been teaching finance in German and helping students develop real, applicable skills for a career in the DACH area in a clear, structured, and results-oriented way.

My story
Like many of my students, I reached a point where I wanted more: more clarity, more practical experience and a professional path that made sense , not just theory.
That's why, even while studying for my Master's degree, I chose to specialise in accounting. Working in the Accounts Receivable department and collaborating with stakeholders from the DACH region showed me how important it is to combine finance with the German language.
I then moved into German taxation at a start-up in Germany, initially dealing with tax returns (Einkommensteuererklärungen). Shortly afterwards, I started providing training on this topic for new employees. This was one of those moments when I realised how much I enjoy holding trainings and working with people.
Later, aiming to understand the financial system more broadly, I ended up at the European Central Bank in banking supervision. There, I worked on analyses related to regulations and factors influencing banking activity. This experience gave me a much clearer perspective on how the system as a whole works.
During this time, teaching became increasingly important to me. I wanted to see how education is delivered in other systems, so I also taught at DHBW Stuttgart in Germany, where I delivered a course on monetary policy. In parallel, I have been teaching finance in an academic environment in Romania for over five years.
The combination of practical experience and a passion for teaching was the starting point for German and Finance. On one hand, I create applied courses oriented towards concrete skills that help course participants advance their careers quickly. On the other hand, I aim to provide a solid financial education, particularly for teenagers who are just starting out and want to determine whether this field is right for them.
For me, it's not just about teaching information, but about providing clarity, direction, and knowledge that can actually be used further.
